Alex Cross, Super Cop

My first “Review” is one on a series of novels that I have been enjoying for quite some time now.  This series, starting with “Along came a spider,” stars a detective named Alex Cross. To my liking the detective is African American, a difference that is not seen too often. This guy, despite obvious imperfections, is like an “American Sherlock Holmes,” taking down some of the most notorious fictional serial killers and psychopaths around the world. He somehow manages to raise a family of 2 children, balance a very rocky love life, and dedicate enough time to his job to take down these very well created villains.

The Cross series so far has 16 novels to date. I am currently on the 11th Novel, “Mary Mary,” and can honestly say I have not encountered one book that I did not like.  I absolutely LOVE all so far.  The way they are written are simply engaging, always making you just want to turn to the next page to see what happens next.  The Chapters are very short, which helps to those of you who like to finish a chapter before putting the book down. Most chapters end with a certain well written sentence or idea, that just makes you want to jump to the next and not put the book down.

For those of you that are already familiar with James Paterson as an author need not need any convincing if you already enjoy his work and enjoy murder mystery novels.

I  give my seal of approval on this series and would DEFINITELY recommend it to all of my friends and avid readers.

Im accustomed to only using blogger so far, so I wanted to give this one a shot to see how it goes. To me it seems as a cross between twitter and blogger. Not to mention overly complicated commenting system. Other than that it seems pretty cool, once you spend enough time getting used to the settings and understanding how to use most functions.  I’ll see how this goes for a bit.
